There have been alot of articles about Driving the ICC Gaithersburg to Silver Spring MD , but none I have seen from A Realtor's eye view. Who better to describe the road and offer up an opinion than someone who does alot of driving at all times of the day, seven days a week. For clarification, my office is off Shady Grove Rd and the ramp to get on to the new ICC is minutes away.
I loved Driving the ICC Gaithersburg to Silver Spring MD !!! First of all, the road is new and smooth. The speed limit is 55, but you can be doing 70 and not even realize it. There are 3 lanes in each direction, no stoplights and no pot holes. I went from my office to Georgia Ave near Rt 28 in about 7 minutes. Normally, it would take atleast 15 minutes. It is a great alternative to the old roads and the cost at peak, is less than a cup of coffee at Starbucks. Another surprise is the tranquility of the drive and, dare I say, beauty. The sound walls are pretty and textured. The bridges and over passes will make you go "wow".

I do a lot of business in the eastern part of Montgomery County and I can not wait for the rest of the road to open. Time is an important commodity in everyones life and the ICC will help you find more of it!
